Regional Natives of Particular Interest: Leymus condensatus 'Canyon Prince' - large grass

'Canyon Prince' wild rye, a cultivar found originally on Prince Island, an islet off of Tukan, aka 'San Miguel Island'.   Bluish light grey foliage color.  A large clumping grass, get's around four foot plus all around.  Seed spikes summer to fall.  Surrounded in the yard by other Southern California island natives, plus Camissonia bistorta, which is only native to the mainland, apparently, particularly coastally, with the bigger flower form,,... and it's a great one for this composition with it's yellow flowers.   C. bistorta is an annual/biannual.
