Regional Natives of Particular Interest: Malacothamnus

 (click on underlined title to read more info)Malacothamnus - Bush Mallow', Spring to early Summer bloomer in the wild, along with Viguiera to the right, top photo, at a garden done by Wes Hudson.  Bottom photo, in the wild on Mt. Miguel, with Malacothamnus(light pinkish flowers on elongated stems, having the most spread of the plants present), Eriophyllum confertiflorum(bright yellow flowers), Lotus scoparius(left side, and right of center), and Xylococcus (Mission Manzanita) the green leaved bush in the center, re-growing from being killed back by the fire that occured in Fall 2007.  A bit of Malosma laurina at far right.
